It's where our kids learned to swim, rode their bikes around the complex and spent evenings playing outside with friends. And when the beach is calling? Jump on the e-bike and you can be at Burleigh Beach in around eight minutes - often quicker than driving and finding a park.

One of the unexpected highlights has been reaching the stage where we could send the kids over to grab bread, milk or something from the chemist - sometimes because we genuinely needed it and occasionally just to get them out of our hair for ten minutes!

EIGHT MINUTES TO BURLEIGH BEACH

Despite being tucked away in a peaceful complex, you're incredibly close to everything the southern Gold Coast has to offer.

Christine Avenue takes you directly towards Burleigh and, on an e-bike, it's approximately an eight-minute ride to the beach.

Burleigh's cafés, surf clubs, coastal walking and cycling paths are all within easy reach, while Bermuda Street provides convenient access to the M1, Reedy Creek and West Burleigh. Bond University, Treetops Plaza and Robina Town Centre are also close by.

BUT THE BIGGEST GIFT HAS BEEN THE COMMUNITY

After 12 years, this is without question the hardest part to leave.

Our neighbours are quiet, considerate and genuinely lovely people - the kind who are there when you need them without ever being in your space.

For families, it has been an incredibly special place to raise our children. The secure complex has given them a wonderful amount of freedom as they've grown.

They learned to swim in the resort-style pool. They learned to ride their bikes doing lap after lap around the complex. They've spent countless evenings outside playing with friends.

Those things don't appear on a floorplan, but they're a huge part of what has made living here so special.

SO WHY ARE WE LEAVING?

Quite simply: space.

Our kids are getting older and we'd love for them to have their own rooms. And after the interesting challenge of running two businesses from a single garage, we're ready for a little more breathing room!

That's genuinely it.

If we could pick this home and everything surrounding it up and simply add another bedroom and workspace, we probably would.
